The Group 1

So, what is the Group, I hear you ask? Easy ...

We’re a group of lesbian, gay and bisexual young people, as well as those questioning their sexuality, ranging from the age of 16 to 24. We meet every Wednesday evening, 6.30-8.30pm, where the group offers an opportunity to relax, meet new people, get information, chat about everything affecting young lgb people, and generally have a good time.

We also do "stuff" – meaning whatever organised activities our members have decided might be fun to try. You can read about some of the stuff we’ve done in the past on a this page over here, and to see what we’re planning to do in the future, just head over there. (Have you done that? Good.)

Most importantly, the Group is a safe, fun and friendly place to be. Some of us have been turning up for years – others drop in randomly when it takes their fancy – and some, like you, might be thinking about coming along for the first time. That’s cool too. The Group belongs to everyone equally – and if you’re a young person who’s lesbian, gay, bisexual or questioning, then it’s yours already. It’d be great to see you there.

So if you think you might be interested, just get in touch with our session worker by text or email. You can have a chat about where you are in life, and they’ll arrange for you to meet up beforehand so you know at least one person before you arrive.
